I am having exactly this same issue on my brand new HP EliteBook 2530p running a fresh Windows 7 Enterprise installation. None of these drivers solved the issue. I couldn't switch to a program by clicking on it, I couldn't click anything within any program, but the keyboard remained functional. I use a normal USB mouse. If I was looking at the desktop before the display powered off I can use ctrl+tab to change the active program, but this is not shown on the screen, desktop only is visible.  If I hope this can be helpful. check over here It doesn't matter if I'm using an external USB mouse, the integrated TouchStyk or TouchPad, the UI just becomes "unclickable".
