Judging by the many people having this problem,it seems to be a real unsolvable epidemic fro most.What does work:(1) install a Thunderbird app. Got the dialog "this link needs to be opened with an application", chose FF then nothing happens when I click on links. Note that this is just one of the solutions and that it may not be the one working for you.
