I installed all the required and optional updates. Try to download win 8.1 again. Its as if they already know its going to be wonky, and they depend on us to figure to figure out how to get it to work. You did reboot and then disable AV/MW?

When I got nearly to the end, just before restarting, I got the same message as before: "Something happened and Windows 8.1 couldn't be installed. tablet that will no longer have a touch screen after it installs this 8.1 again with out my permision..
