I've restored from system image to a computer state that is literally just windows 8.1, no software, just windows 8.1. That was the reason i used uxThemePatcher in the first place. If you are using 3rd party antivirus and not Windows Defender try uninstalling your antivirus software then reboot to see if that solves the problem. After deleting them, you'll get rid of the 3rd party theme completely and it'll not appear in Desktop Properties window.

Now look for a folder and .theme file having the name of the theme which you downloaded. When i simply uninstall it and set the theme back to windows default, it go into a black screen (same what happens by installing the update) after a reboot.
