I tried to reinstall them (after several reboots). I have since started using an 8 year old OpticalUSB mouse with2 buttons and a mouse wheel that I had for my XP laptop. Now connect the keyboard and mouse. If you can access the affected Windows 10 system through Remote Desktop or other remote control software such as TeamViewer, downgrade and rollback to previous Windows version.
